In the spirit of Thanksgiving I made a last minute trip to "Michael's." The place was packed because all fall/Halloween items were on sale. I have wanted to experiment with wreath-making, so I bought some items to make a wreath for extra Thanksgiving decoration. I started simple (bows and sparkled wire twigs) for the wreath.
I started with a natural wreath. It was $4.99 at Michael's.
I bought two types of wide-wired ribbon. Each spool of ribbon was $0.79... Each bow took about an entire spool of ribbon.
I also picked out various wired accessories to place onto the wreath. They were all on sale ranging from $0.59-$1.79
Next, I visually decided where to put the items by placing them on top of the wreath. Don't wrap the wire around the wreath until you are certain where you want the objects. Also, make sure to place the bows on last. Bows are easily smashed when wrapping other items around the wreath.
Below is the semi finished project. After looking at it, I would like to add some pine cones and a wooden letter...but, my glue gun is out of glue :) When I do some more work on it I will update the new picture. Here is my fall wreath for now. OH... and the best part is it only cost a total of $12.81!!!
Hope you enjoy,
xoxo, Katherine
